Invitation for Writers aged 8-16 to participate in writing for Black Girls Magazine.
*OPPORTUNITY* Black Girls Magazine is looking for BC writers and would like to invite interested girls to join the founders Annette Bazira-Okafor and her daughter on Friday January 18 @ A Child's Song Surrey office 6 -7:30 pm for girls ages 8 to 12, and 8 - 9:30 pm for girls ages 13-16. Girls will have an opportunity to hear about the magazine and how they can participate as well as make new friends over pizza! In 2016, a group of girls between the ages of 8 and 12 began an incredible journey in which they would create, write and illustrate a magazine that celebrated their experiences, accomplishments, interests and stories. Written and illustrated by Black girls, the magazine aims to enlighten and entertain all kids and teens, while encouraging them to become leaders of tomorrow.
