The Children
Sunrise facilitates adoptions of children between 1 and 8 years of age.
The greatest need is for families to be open to school-age children, sibling groups and children with identified needs or special characteristics.
All children are of Hispanic, Indian, African or mixed racial heritage.
Children commonly have been relinquished, abandoned or have had a termination of parental rights due to abuse or neglect.
There are certain age ranges that are considered by ICBF when determining an adoptive parent's eligibility to adopt a child. The referral criteria are based on the best interests of the child.
