The Children
The children are typically relinquished or abandoned and come from complex family backgrounds.
Children that can be adopted internationally are between 1 - 8 years old. Mexico may, in its discretion, place a child under the age of 5 years if the child has a physical or mental disability, suffers from a disease that is costly to treat or is part of a sibling group involving children older than 5 years who are also being adopted.
The greatest need is for families to be open to school-age children, sibling groups and children with identified needs.
Relative Adoptions
Sunrise also facilitates relative adoptions (the adoption of a child related to you) from Mexico.
